Customer It needed each infrastructure layer to operate with the utmost agility. However, the traditional processes for patching and managing IT tools were very cumbersome: 3 different processes and tools for managing Windows, Linux and Solaris. IT patching tools were complex and inefficient and compliance reporting was lengthy and incomplete.

THE SOLUTION

Using JetPatch, the company used automation workflow templates to standardize, streamline, and optimize its overall patching process, as well as implement a governed best-practice process. Thanks to JetPatch’sautomation addressing all actions needed before and after the patching, process efficiency increased and generated endpoint continuous compliance that reduced the risk of security exposure. SECURITY OF COMMUNICATION

JetPatch management of individual endpoints is based on the JetPatch Connector, which must be installed on managed endpoints. The JetPatch Connector can be pre-installed (e.g. as part of a base image), or it can be deployed remotely by JetPatch deployment team. The secured communication protocols between JetPatch to the Connectors are SSH, SMB, HTTPS.

CONSOLE AND API SECURITY

JetPatch's console and API use industrystandard methods and mechanisms for authenticating user identities, and a rolebased access control (RBAC) scheme to provide each user with access to specific functionality. Standard encryption methods are used to ensure data confidentiality.
